Rank is a method for individual students to excel in the band program. These promotions will carry through to High School in the form of other privileges. The purpose of rank is to promote musical excellence through terraced requirements and responsibilities. Rank will be returned upon promotion to the next level. Rank may be taken away for offences listed in the discipline section. Student rank serves as a self-motivational, discipline tool that, when treated properly, provides a means of insurance that the beliefs set forth in the handbook will be followed.
